Join The Bumblebee Bunch, a gardening-themed playgroup for toddlers and preschoolers in Lindfield
Our playgroup offers hands-on activities where kids can explore and learn about nature through gardening, planting, and creative play.
Join us every Friday 10-11am (term-time).
Sessions are £6.50 (two children for £11, under-ones free!)
During warmer months, we will be outside at The Witch Inn garden, RH16 2AB. During the colder months and very rainy days we will be inside at The Stable, All Saints Church, RH16 2HS. Please check location when booking.
Our Activities
Join us for a variety of gardening-themed toys and activities designed to engage and educate toddlers and preschoolers about nature. From planting to sensory exploration, there's something for every little garden enthusiast.
Planting and sensory play
Let your little ones get their hands dirty and with a different seed to plant each week and take home. Kids can and dig, scoop and shovel and splash with multiple sensory stations across the room. Make sure you and your little one are wearing clothes you don't mind getting a bit mucky!
Free play
Discover our collection of gardening-themed toys, including a mini greenhouse, plant figurines, and colorful pots. Perfect for sparking creativity and teaching kids about nature and gardening!

Crafts
Each week, your little one can create a new craft to take home, plus enjoy a coloring station filled with nature-themed designs!
Melanie
Bumblebee Bunch Leader
A local mum of three and experienced gardener, Melanie brings her passion for gardening to The Bumblebee Bunch. With over 15 years of experience working with children including those with additional needs (both personally and professionally), she creates a nurturing space for littles ones to explore, learn and grow.
Bizzy
Chief Bumblebee
Bizzy the bumblebee is quite shy but can be enticed for story time and she loves singing along with the children. Her favourite song is Cauliflowers Fluffy.

Additional needs
If your little bumblebee has any additional needs, please don't hesitate to let me know. I have personal and professional experience of children with additional needs and am keen to ensure everyone can join in the fun and feel included. I have basic knowledge of makaton and can provide any extra visual prompts or support. At request, we can make a visual timetable available on the day.
